This is what the truck looked like before our crew started dismantling the body and interior.

The interior shots before the guys started stripping it out to start the total customization process.

The body has been stripped and primed and now the metal work to repair defects can begin.

This is the before and after images of the engine. This truck came to our shop with a Chevy engine. We replaced it with a 427 Roush Racing Engine that is 510 hsp.

The body of the truck has had its first coat of primer and will be ready to start being sanded to smooth out any imperfections in the body.

This next group of photos show the frame, rear-end, and other various body parts after the painting process and hanging in the paint booth to dry.

The next steps will be to prepare the body for paint, but first it must have seam sealer applied to every seam and crevice on the body. Then the body is painted, wet sanded, and buffed to a high shine. The customer picked the color Green Gem Metallic 2, which is a new factory Ford truck color. In a couple of the photos, you see a rough textured surface we added called Lizard Skin spray on ceramic insulation to help deflect heat and insulate.

Because of the age of this truck, and the modifications done, the entire wiring system was replaced.

The bed of the truck was going to need a complete refurbishment and we replaced the old wood with new oak planks that we coated with polyurethane and then reassembled with new stainless steel strips. The front and back bumpers were replaced with custom made bumpers made in our shop. The rims and tires were replaced and restored with custom built 20 x 8.5 American Racing rims that are chromed aluminum and 20” BF Goodrich T/A’s for its sharp new look.

In these next pictures, we have our parts that are painted and then the whole body is reassembled piece by piece. The tailgate, doors, and other parts are getting final touch-ups before this process begins. The dash is restored and updated, also.

The moment we have all been waiting for is here. You can see the bright LED running lights and brake lights and the brand-new Roush Racing engine. The paint really snaps in the sunlight. Another trophy winner for sure.
