1957 Starmist Blue “F” Code Supercharged Thunderbird

This group of photos shows some of the damage, and normal wear and tear, for a car this age. When the restoration process has been completed, this car will be unrecognizable. The first step will be to take everything apart and inventory every piece.

Here are photos of the frame before it has been taken apart, inventoried, then we will restore everything for reassembly.

Now we have stripped all the old paint off the body to expose all the metal surfaces. This is done so it is easier to see what metal repairs need to take place on the body. This step is necessary, sometimes, because old paint can cover up a problem that could have been avoided.

Now you see the body and parts that have received the first coat of etch primer. This is the first step in the process to prep the body before its first coat of paint.

Here is the restored frame with reassembly already started. We have the dash and the seat reupholstered, also. The engine has been restored and it is ready to be added to the frame.

The frame has been restored and painted. In these pictures, you can see that the reassembly process has been started. The transmission and all the necessary lines have been added. After all this work is complete, the body will be ready to be placed.

This group is showing the body after it has had its final paint application, dry time, polished, and buffed. Then we start to reassemble the car.

Now, this car is whole, once again, and has been completely restored. It has been washed, given a final buff and polish, and it has been test driven. So, it is ready to go home to the proud owner.
