This classic 1956 Thunderbird will be a full body-off driver restoration. The options for this will include a black exterior, black and white interior, black hardtop and black soft top. This car will be built to body off driver and have a rebuilt Jasper engine.

We have started the disassembly process that includes stripping the body and frame down to the bare minimum. The body, frame, and all the parts will be stripped, sanded, primed, and painted after they have been labeled.

The body has been removed and work has been started to fix the imperfections. The body is sanded and coated with primer to be sanded again, until it is perfect.

In these pictures you can see the restored engine with the new parts assembled, the brand new transmission, and the restored frame with the engine and transmission added to it.

We have completed the last steps of buffing and sanding on the body and it is now being wet sanded. When this step is completed it will be buffed once more until it shines.

The body has been buffed and polished so now it is time to lower it on to the frame. When this has been done and the bolts are all tightened, we can then finish up on the re-assembly on the rest of the interior and exterior of the car.

The hard top has received its last coat of primer in the first pictures. The last one is after it has been painted, sanded, and polished to a high shine.

The final assembly has been completed. The car has been test driven and now it is ready to go home.
