Full body-off restoration of 1946 Hudson Pick-up. This truck will be re-built to be a top show car.

We are currently restoring a 1946 Hudson pick-up truck. The owner provided a second truck to be used for parts.

The truck bed is custom made of medium honey-oak wood.

The colors are Hellelfenbein (cream) and Hellgruen Metallic (green) mixed by Martin Senour Tec-Base mix systems to achieve the original look of Nepal Ivory and Spring Green, which were original Hudson colors in 1946. This exterior has a two-tone classic look.

The interior, passenger door, and engine compartment after assembly has started.

This classic has a 3-speed over-drive transmission with a Super 6 Firedome engine.

The new wiring with the painted interior and the front end with the Hudson emblem in place and chrome grill.

The new brakes are being bled.

More pictures of the interior as it progresses. The new windows are being installed so they will function properly. The new radiator is, also, installed.

The new dash pieces are ready to install. The chrome pieces on the hood, the chrome divider strip on the windshield, andIMG_6292 the tailgate straps are installed. More work has been done to the interior.

The dash is almost completed and the Firestone700 wide white wall tires have been placed. The original one tail light is functional.

The new dash items are installed and functioning. The ashtray and the sun visors are installed.

The doors and the dash are done and the bench seat is installed.
