Cruisin’ Saturday Night Scholarship Program

In 2004, Hill’s Classic Cars was approached by the Racine, Ohio postmaster, about having a car show to help unveil a new stamp featuring the 1955 Thunderbird. It sounded like fun, but we wanted it to be for a good cause. That year we started the scholarship fund as a way to give back to the community and its people. From that first show, we awarded $400 and as of June 2020, we have raised and awarded over $62,000.

The committee would like to thank the 2020 host sponsors: Home National Bank, NAPA Washington, Martin Senour Paints, and Hill’s Automotive, for continued support.

The recipient for this scholarship must be a student from Meigs County Ohio graduating from Eastern, Southern, or Meigs with a minimum of 1 scholarship to be awarded to each High school in Meigs County. A student planning to go into a mechanical science field will have their application weighted higher, but it is open to any field of study. The scholarship committee will base the main part of their decision on the essay portion of the application. The 2020 recipients will receive $1,000 each towards their college expenses.

The Scholarship Application is now closed
